Areas of expertise include: clinical process improvement, labor and non-labor expense reduction and corporate and operational expense assessment..**Responsibilities**+ Responsible for participating in team efforts in developing and delivering the clinical components of cost and yield improvement for client engagements including: nurse staffing, labor productivity management and nursing operations+ Provide subject matter expertise and clinical leadership on client projects+ Participate in team efforts in data gathering, analysis and interpretation particularly as it relates to clinical information, areas and issues+ Review data analyses, ensure validity of data, and identify discrepancies, patterns and trends+ Conduct client interviews and facilitate client meetings+ Synthesize the results of quantitative and qualitative clinical findings and other relevant information to draw conclusions and develop pertinent and insightful recommendations+ Effectively frame critical strategic and clinical issues for client and team. Develop sound work plans to address critical issues and effectively communicates these to team members+ Work on multiple client engagements simultaneously+ Develop and maintain strong working relationships with physicians, administrators and staff throughout the hospital and integrated delivery network+ Mentor, train and support more junior staff members+ Actively participate in the development of publications and industry research+ Support the needs of the practice beyond client-specific work as required**Required:**+ BS/BA or MS in nursing required+ MBA or a Master's degree in Health or Hospital Administration is highly preferred+ 8+ years operations performance improvement experience with either a consulting firm (hospital/healthcare focus required) and/or with a hospital/healthcare provider+ Acute or critical care nursing experience required.+ Experience as a nurse director or CNO required+ Experience with the following: staff scheduling including nurse and additional resource assignments; monthly department reports and budgets; understand the basics of usage and involvement in labor performance improvement initiatives**Preferred:**+ Exposure to multiple clinical areas and specialties preferred+ Demonstrated ability to deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines, deliverables and outcomes, ability to work in teams and independently+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a strong executive presence+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)+ EMR software knowledge and/or implementation highly desirable+ Ability to actively manage and deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines, deliverables, outcomes, etc.+ Proven analytical and process redesign skills (problem solving, quantitative, workflow process, etc.)+ Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and personalities in a team environment+ Ability to assist in identifying and closing new business opportunities+ Strong client/stakeholder management and facilitation skills+ Staff/team leadership and development experience+ Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively+ Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills+ Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously+ Self-motivator with ability to work independently+ Plan, direct, and coordinate work activities of others+ Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another locationThe company offers competitive compensation packages including an incentive compensation plan, comprehensive medical/dental/life insurance, 401(k) and employee stock purchase plans.**_Navigant does not accept unsolicited resumes through or from search firms or staffing agencies.
